Your organisation or business can reap the benefit of having managers and supervisors trained in the fundamentals of managing safely. On successful completion of this four-day block release course your delegate will understand the place of risk assessment in your safety management system and be able to:
  • identify workplace hazards and be familiar with the hierarchy of control measures
  • prepare and use active monitoring techniques in the workplace
  • outline the main requirements of the Health and Safety at Work etc Act 1974 and have an awareness of the principal health and safety regulations and approved codes of practice
  • outline reactive monitoring techniques and the techniques required for accident investigation
The course provides an understanding of the knowledge and skills required to support an effective health and safety management system and includes the following topics:

Delegates understanding of the course material is evaluated by means of a written  examination paper and a workplace project. On successful completion of the programme delegates are awarded an Institution of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH) certificate.
